Anna
A true Chattanooga-phile with a passion for lists, travel, and community, Anna has spent over 2 decades building connections in the Chattanooga area. She arrived in town as a student in 1999 and quickly realized Chattanooga is where she wanted to be long-term. After completing her English degree in town then teaching and coaching for 2 years in Dalton, she returned to get her MA at UTC and quickly put down roots. She did research and admin. support for a small grant-writing business, assisted with fundraising and event planning for a local school, graduated from the Leadership Chattanooga program through the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, and served on boards with the Chamber and WTCI—all while remaining active in her church, fitting in workouts, and spending as much time as possible with her community of friends and family.
In 2014 she transitioned to a local Christian school where she served as the Communications Director for 7 years. In this role she became a professional juggler and plate-spinner. Not only did she oversee website, social media, photography, and videography, but she was actively involved in school-wide communication—from emails to brochures to mailings—and coordinated 2 major annual events for alumni and grandparents.
In 2021 she decided to challenge herself to pursue an idea that had been percolating for a couple years: Girl Friday.

Krista
Prior to becoming the COO of her home, Krista spent 20 years honing her administrative, planning, and coordinating skills in a variety of roles in diverse fields. By the end of a 7-year stint as a college admissions staff member, she was processing applications during the day (with impressive color coordination thanks to her stack of multi-colored pens) and serving as the head college volleyball coach in the evenings and on weekends. She then transitioned into real estate and property management and for 4 years kept a local company running with wonderful organization and attention to detail. Fully embracing her gift with administrative tasks and coordination, she later pursued a position at a mission agency in Atlanta where she worked for 6 years as an event manager planning international and domestic conferences and retreats. Not only did she geek out with complex schedules and spreadsheets, but she was also able to travel to some incredible places like Crete and Malaysia!
Now back in the Chattanooga area, Krista loves spending time with her 3 young kiddos and cooking with her husband. She’s always on the lookout for a good deal, enjoys working out when she can, is oddly passionate about budgeting, and gets giddy about planning (road trips, flights, meals for the week…it doesn’t matter as long as she can make a list—or better yet—a spreadsheet.) It comes as no surprise, then, that she enjoys using her gifts and skill sets to support female business owners as a member of the Girl Friday Team.

Holley
Unabashedly hailing from the hospitality state (Mississippi), Holley attended the University of Mississippi and graduated with a degree in English and Southern Studies. Having lived in the Chattanooga area for almost a decade, she loves everything about the Scenic City, especially hiking or sitting creekside with her husband and their two kiddos.
As an enneagram two, Holley's world revolves around others and how she can help them and take things off their plates! As a skilled multi-tasker, most of Holley's roles have been diverse, encompassing roles in administrative assistance, customer service, and hospitality. Each position has allowed her to develop strong organizational, communication, and people skills. As an administrative assistant, she has honed her ability to manage schedules, coordinate events, and handle detailed tasks efficiently. Her experience in customer service and retail has taught her the importance of empathy, active listening, and problem-solving. Working in hospitality, she has learned how to create welcoming environments, deliver exceptional service, and craft a mean latte. She is also passionate about organizing and decluttering, believing that a tidy space leads to a tidy mind. Whether it's rearranging a room or planning a community event, Holley loves bringing order to chaos and seeing its positive impact on those around her. Holley has loved being a part of Girl Friday and the unique and flexible opportunities it provides!
Why Girl Friday
By the mid-1900's—thanks in part to the 1940 film “His Girl Friday”—the term “girl Friday” was used to describe a go-to woman you could trust to get things done.
Girl Friday: What better name for a female-owned business that exists to help badass women get sh*t done?
We enjoy to-do lists, productivity, and organization. We like details. We take great satisfaction in accomplishing tasks and bringing order. We have a mild obsession with Chattanooga. And we love helping and supporting others as they use their gifts to care for our community. So we started Girl Friday to support the women in our town who are making bold moves, pursuing their dreams, and lifting others up—not only in their businesses, but in their homes and neighborhoods. It's an honor and privilege to lighten your load.
